Gi60 UK Live celebrates ten years

The big ten for the small plays

It has just occured to me that in addition to 'Ten years of tiny plays' this year will be the tenth annual UK Gi60. I would like to publically thank Vic Allen and Dee Grijak and everybody at Dean Clough for supporting Gi60 since 2009, always going above and beyond and for providing me with a creative and supportive home for the last five years.

So with that in mind let's make this one special.

Steve Ansell is looking for plays...

Hi,
I realise that this is the forum for tiny plays but I am currently looking for two longer pieces for possible production in 2013/2014.

1. The alternative Christmas project: I am looking for a full length ensemble script (cast of 8+) that would be performed as an alternate Christmas show. This may or may not relate directly or indirectly to Christmas/Solstice/Kwanza/Chanuka/new year or the festive season.

2. The female project: I am looking for a piece 45mins + with a cast of no more than four that features a strong female lead.

In both cases I am looking for scripts that I can commit to emotionally (I want that most elusive of things, a script that makes you laugh, cry and think). If you would be interested in submitting please send a synopsis and five pages of the script to screammedia@yahoo.com with the heading 'Alternate Christmas' or 'The Female Project'.

Your submissions will only be read by me only and no work will be used in any context without your written agreement.

Gi60 Actor Lucy Read on BBC 3

Congratulations to Gi60 UK Live edition actor Lucy Read who is currently appearing as 'Vicky The Goth' in the new BBC3 comedy series 'Way To Go'. The show was written by Bob Kushell and features 'The Inbetweeners' Blake Harrision. Lucy is in episodes 1 and 3 (check out episode three 'Vicky gets sexy').

GI60 UK LIVE EDITION 2012

GI60 UK LIVE EDITION 2012

After a great deal of time I am thrilled to announce that the Gi60 UK Live Edition 2012 plays are now on line at the Gi60 Youtube Channel. Thank you for your immense patience, good will, and messages of support. The performance was actually recorded at the Crossley Gallery, Dean CLough Mill, Halifax rather than the Viaduct Theatre as stated as we were flooded out of the venue one hour before curtain.
